Its a nice lamp and well made and certainly was described correctly. The only problem is its not bright enough. It is hard to read by. It should have had another row of lights. Maybe LED lights are not for reading. I don't know. Its more of a mood light then a reading light.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The streamlined beauty of the lamp is great, but it does not putout as much light as I need to grade papers, which is the purpose for it.
